5 Engaging Indoor Team Event Ideas
18 August 2016 | Lucinda Bianchi
With the winter months coming, here are our top five indoor event solutions to get your teams communicating, engaged and working together…
You’ve been to a Bond themed gala dinner, you’ve got the 007 T-Shirt but Wildgoose Events are here to provide you and your team with something completely new to the world of espionage with the Spy School Challenge.
Grab your gadgets and be prepared to channel your inner Bond on this immersive team event that can take place in any venue and any location. Using a pre-coded world map as your guide, teams will have to search the venue for clues and evidence, taking on challenges and testing their excellence in espionage! Teams will be put under pressure, working against a countdown timer to complete set missions that will help them uncover the rogue spy in their company.
Planted actors around the venue bring an extra level of engagement you don’t get from your usual indoor team building activity. Interacting with teams in exchange for passwords and pieces of evidence to scan and unlock further maps and information is all part of our unique app.
If espionage isn’t your bag, we can create an immersive team experience specific to your venue, find out about how we transformed Camelback Resort in the Poconos into an explorer’s paradise that had teams climbing walls and delving into waterfalls!
2. Museum Explorer
The best teams don’t just work together, they play together too and museums are the perfect playground for an indoor team activity.
Guided by our illustrated indoor maps and game screens, teams are navigated around the museum of your choice by scanning plaques, artwork and artifacts to unlock challenges and clues using our unique ‘scan-to-unlock’ image recognition technology. Your team will need do’ers and thinkers to succeed in our Museum Explorer as we whisk teams off to the hidden areas of some of the most fascinating museums, including the London Science Museum, American Museum of Natural History, and the National Museum of Scotland.
3. Learning and Development
For teams to find a connection between participation and your company values they have to be engaged. Gamified and digital learning is the answer and we’re here to help you execute it by using our multi-faceted app as a Learning and Development tool.
Our team work to your specific objectives to create custom content using an interactive solution that gets delegates communicating with facilitators, and captures instant data all through fun and engaging activities. Data capture functionality enables you to collect live feedback; present questions and provide answers allowing your team to actively contribute to discussion and strategy throughout.
In the US we work in partnership with Essex Woods in MA – a specialist venue that host leadership and graduate and strategy events for groups, in an intimate and natural setting. Situated amidst 16 acres of white pines surrounded by sculptures and artwork, this is the perfect venue for us to support the facilitation of your event in an engaging way.
4. The Pitch – Indoors
Teams will be put through their paces when taking part in The Pitch. This interactive table top game is a perfect way to put a team’s creativity, time keeping and business acumen to the test in a fun and engaging way…
In this creative and challenging game, teams will be required to create, market and pitch a product to prove they have the business acumen and entrepreneurial skills to be on the winning team.
The success of the team starts with the initial challenge of quickly identifying each others’ strengths and delegating specific roles including – project manager, marketing, finance and design. Divided into three distinct sections, teams aim to fulfill a range of business objectives in a logical order – everything from designing logos, filming adverts and creating marketing material, to interviewing potential consumers and creating a prototype product from materials gathered during the day. Fun business trivia will keep the entire team engaged while they battle to create a product worthy of the boardroom!
5. Exhibition Explorer
We are often asked ‘how can we make our exhibition, tradeshow, expo more engaging?’ With our Exhibition Explorer Challenge up our sleeve, we have the ideal solution. Using image recognition and custom content the result is increased footfall to stands and the ability to educate and encourage guests to engage with suppliers and their products.
Using exhibition floor plans and custom icons, our challenge encourages guests and staff to move around the exhibition floor visiting stands, activating challenges and completing questions along the way.
If you’re heading to IMEX America this October, visit us to see first hand how we use our own technology to add an interactive twist to the expo scene. To arrange a demo or book an appointment, get in touch with us – [email protected] or give us a call on +1 646 659 8820
