Vodafone Group plc is the world’s second-largest multinational mobile telecommunications company. Vodafone owns and operates networks in over 30 countries and has partner networks in over 40 additional countries. The initial enquiry came via a recommendation from a previous event Wildgoose had run for Vodafone. After subsequent phone calls, a meeting was arranged and we showcased the GPS Tablets to a number of Vodafone representatives. Vodafone were looking for an event which they could run on a regular basis for new graduate joining the company. The aim of the event was to create a team building environment in which people would work in small teams of 5-6. They also wanted the participants to gain knowledge of Vodafone’s history and key landmark events.
For the event we created a Vodafone skin of the tab as well as Red Hotspots for the Vodafone bespoke questions. In our experience, a great way of getting teams to work together is with a fun video challenge, so for Vodafone we chose Stealth Disco. This provided a great finale to the event and had every one in stitches. The route we chose allowed the event to be run all year round and at any time during the day. We started and finished at their offices, which allowed us to show the final presentation at a convenient time during the two day event.
As Wildgoose is a customer of Vodafone, during the beginning of the briefing, the event manager outlined the great relationship with Vodafone and how we combine technologies to run the GPS Tablet Events all around the world. Vodafone provide the data to power the map and the live scoreboard during the event.

On the day we had 4 teams, all the scores from the day were added to a score tally from other activities during the two day event. After the event had finished the tabs were collected and the graduates went into another workshop while the scores were collated. We then showed the photos and video which created a real buzz between the participants.
