Virtual Charades Team Building Game For Work

Charades is a popular word guessing game. Players act out a word or phrase (without speaking) while their teammates try to guess what it is. The actor can use movement, gestures, and body language to communicate their word or phrase. Charades can be played as part of a team social or team meeting. It is also a great team bonding activity for small and large groups.

Charades lasts for 45 minutes in total, including a virtual briefing and wrap up from one of our engaging Remote Hosts. You can find game durations in the ‘How can this event be delivered?’ section on our individual game pages.

You’ll need access to a laptop or desktop computer with video conferencing software (Zoom, Microsoft Teams etc). You can easily play Charades using your laptop or computer’s web browser but if you’d like to use a separate device to play the game, you’ll also need a smartphone or tablet with a stable internet connection and access to a web browser.

Top tip: We recommend using a second device to play the game itself. Then, you can run your chosen video conferencing software on your laptop/computer and easily play the game on your phone or tablet without the need to switch tabs or screens.

Once all players have joined the virtual meeting, teams will be briefed by one of our Remote Hosts via a video conference call. Next, your group will be split off into breakout rooms to play the game. One of our Remote Hosts will be on standby throughout the activity to support teams, encourage communication and provide a fun virtual wrap-up at the end of the activity.
