If you want to get everybody out into the city, London is a natural fit for in-person adventures such as Urban Explorer, The Ultimate, Pub Explorer, and Spy School: In The Field. These experiences are well suited to teams that want a more social, active format with plenty of movement, sightseeing, and friendly competition.
For conference venues, hotel spaces, and office settings, indoor formats can be just as effective. Activities such as The Pitch, Level Up, and Office Games are useful when you need strong engagement within a fixed space or a tighter event window.
If your people are spread across offices or working patterns, London also works brilliantly as a hub for virtual team building activities and hybrid team building activities. Options such as Around The World, Escape: Art Heist, and Team Quiz: Let’s Get Quizzical make it easy to include remote colleagues without losing pace or interaction.
If you’re after a treasure hunt in London, we can start it almost anywhere, from your office or hotel to a park or a Tube station that suits everyone. Routes often use Westminster, the South Bank or the City, and teams of four to six race between GPS checkpoints while they take in the sights.
At Wildgoose, we design London team building events to be practical as well as memorable. That means flexible formats, smooth event delivery, and activities that can be adapted to your group size, timings, venue, and objectives. If you want to get people moving, an outdoor challenge can turn the city itself into the experience. If your schedule is tighter, we can bring the energy indoors with fast-paced hosted activities, problem-solving games, and collaborative formats that fit neatly into meetings and conferences.
London is ideal when you need choice, scale, and a location that people are genuinely excited to explore. The city works for leadership groups, new starters, departments meeting in person for the first time in months, and large mixed teams attending conferences or company-wide gatherings.
Team building in London is especially effective because it can support different outcomes at the same time:
London team building should not feel like a one-size-fits-all package. Some clients need a short energiser between conference sessions. Others need a half-day experience for hundreds of delegates, or a carefully branded event that reflects business goals, values, or campaign messaging.
Our activities can be tailored around practical event requirements, including:
That flexibility makes London particularly strong for company away days, leadership off-sites, onboarding events, conference breakouts, and team socials where you want more structure than a standard dinner or drinks reception.
The best London events start with the outcome, not just the activity type. If your priority is networking and light competition, a social city challenge may be the best fit. If you need communication, problem solving, and a stronger sense of shared achievement, a more structured collaborative format will usually deliver better results.
When planning your event, it helps to think about:
If you already have a venue, a district, or a rough brief in mind, we can recommend an option that fits the shape of the day and the people attending.
Here’s what we’d suggest for four common briefs, with real prices.
All prices below exclude VAT.
Most summer parties want something social that doesn’t take over the whole evening. A two-hour GPS treasure hunt from your office or the party venue gets everyone outside first, and Pub Explorer builds pit stops into the route if you want to finish somewhere for a drink. Teams of four to six keep everyone involved, and one host covers up to 50 people. On a GPS hunt, 50 people cost 50 x £15 = £750, plus £250 for a Remote Host, so £1,000 + VAT. With an Onsite Host there in person, it’s £1,500 + VAT, which is also the minimum spend for an onsite booking.
The cheapest route is an outdoor hunt that doesn’t need a venue at all. Start from a park or a Tube station and finish at a pub or café you’ve booked. The Ultimate can be self-managed, so 30 people cost 30 x £15 = £450 + VAT with no host fee. Add a Remote Host for £250 if you’d rather someone else ran the briefing and the results. If you’ve already got a meeting room, Level Up is £12 per person indoors, so £360 + VAT for 30, plus £250 for a host. Our corporate away days page covers planning the rest of the day.
New starters do best with short, low-pressure formats that mix them with the people they’ll work with. Invigorate runs for 30 or 45 minutes in your office, and every challenge has to be done with a different group. Office Games is 45 minutes of quick-fire challenges. Both include the host and carry a £240 + VAT minimum, which is exactly what 20 people at £12 come to. For a quick first-day welcome, our icebreakers take 15 to 45 minutes.
GPS treasure hunts turn the city itself into the activity. Teams of four to six race between checkpoints in our app, answering trivia and completing photo and video challenges, and every team’s scored on one live leaderboard. They run for two hours, for 8 to 750 people, from £15 per person. Popular routes use Westminster, the South Bank and the City, and if the forecast turns, our wet weather guarantee lets you switch to Level Up indoors at no extra cost with 24 hours’ notice, venue permitting. Self-managed bookings are excluded.
We run the activity, not the day around it, so venue hire, food, drink and travel are booked separately.
London offers scale, variety, and a sense of occasion that is hard to replicate elsewhere. With the right format, it can deliver genuine team connection as well as a memorable day out. Explore our full range of team building activities, browse outdoor team building activities, or start with a London-friendly favourite such as Pub Explorer or Urban Explorer.
Planning something for December? Our guide to work Christmas party ideas in London has ten festive options for teams in the city, from a GPS Christmas treasure hunt to a cocktail class.
One of the strengths of planning a London event is that you can match the feel of the activity to the part of the city you are using. Some teams want heritage, landmarks, and a classic London backdrop. Others want a more modern, creative, or neighbourhood-led atmosphere.
Popular starting points include Westminster, Covent Garden, Shoreditch, the City of London, Chelsea, and Soho. We can also help shape the experience around your venue, preferred walking radius, and the kind of atmosphere you want for the day.

For 30 people that’s 30 x £15 = £450 + VAT, with no host fee. A Remote Host adds £250. If you’ve got a meeting room, Level Up indoors is £12 per person plus a £250 host. All prices exclude VAT.
No. We run the activity and the app, and a host if you book one. Venue hire, food, drink and travel are booked separately. Outdoor hunts don’t need a venue at all, and indoor games work in your own office or meeting room.
Our outdoor games are GPS-based and most run for two hours: Urban Explorer, The Ultimate, Spy School: In The Field and Pub Explorer among them. If the weather turns, our wet weather guarantee lets you switch to Level Up indoors at no extra cost with 24 hours’ notice, venue permitting. Self-managed bookings are excluded.
It depends on the brief, but three formats cover most of them. GPS treasure hunts use the city itself, run for two hours and suit 8 to 750 people. Indoor games like Level Up work in your office or venue in 60 or 90 minutes. Hybrid games put people in the room and on a video call on one leaderboard, for teams split between London and elsewhere. Prices start from £12 per person, or £15 for GPS hunts. All prices exclude VAT.
Short, low-pressure games that mix new starters with existing colleagues. Invigorate runs for 30 or 45 minutes in your office, with every challenge done with a different group, and Office Games is 45 minutes of quick-fire challenges. Both include the host and carry a £240 + VAT minimum, which is what 20 people at £12 come to. All prices exclude VAT.
